Apparently a Sheik in Dubai has offered Victoria Beckham, otherwise known as "Posh Spice" approx 40 million US to design a hotel for him. What irks me about this you ask? Well, for one that they didn't call us, naturally. But seriously, don't you find it bothersome that so many great and talented designers would lose out on a fantastic project like this to someone who's only design experience is working with other designers to furnish their homes. Designers who, in all likelihood, are predisposed to agreeing with everything Mrs. Beckham says in fear of "miffing" her and being replaced with yet another yes-designer.
